Why do mothers tell us not to eat too many chocolates?
Whether hot, cold, solid or liquid, everyone loves chocolates—kids and adults alike. But why do mothers always tell you not to eat too many of it? The number one reason why mothers do not like you to eat too many chocolates is because they care for your teeth. They do not want you to have tooth decays that you will regret when you get old.
But do you know that there are ingredients found in chocolate products that actually prevent tooth decay?
Yes, chocolates actually contain something that blocks the production of the plaque, the first stage of tooth decay. However, this does not mean that you can eat as many chocolates as you want. Although it fights tooth decay, if you eat too much of it and you don't brush your teeth properly you will end up having tooth decays.
So if your mothers tell you not to eat too many chocolates, tell them that chocolate prevents tooth decay, but promise them to brush your teeth after eating a lot of it.
