After many positive changes within the company, Senior Summer School appoints Gregg Behar as the new President.
Deerfield Beach, FL, September 20, 2006 --PR.com-- Senior Summer School announces a new president. Gregg Behar has been promoted from Director of Sales and Marketing to President of Senior Summer School Gregg has worked with the company since October of 2005 at their main office, located in Deerfield Beach, Florida (Other offices are located in Arizona and Wisconsin). In his first year, Gregg expanded the business by 33%. He is a native of South Florida graduating from Miami Beach Senior High School and then college at the University of Florida, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing. Gregg is extremely capable and motivated to run Senior Summer School.
Gregg has been able to evaluate that Senior Summer School has changed slowly throughout the past twenty-five years and he has been able to refocus the direction of the Company. In the future, Senior Summer School is planning on adding new program locations, to be announced shortly, in addition to their already popular programs in San Diego California, Madison Wisconsin, Boone North Carolina, Pittsburg Pennsylvania, and Berkeley. The company plans to focus on the academic aspects as well. The improved programs will start each day with some form of fitness followed by classes all day long that accent the college from each particular city.
This winter Senior Summer School will offer Alumni classes in south Florida and Arizona with faculty from around the country. This will give a sampling of what next summer and New Years Eve is all about. Alumni that have already signed up will be able to register for up to 50% off the winter series and allow friends to visit to see what they have been missing.
The new change is welcome. “It is exciting, and is about time,” an alumni proclaimed as she heard about the changes that are taking place. Gregg is in tune with the new programs. This summer Gregg visited many of the programs in order to get to know the customers better, question them about their likes and dislikes and to be available to make corrections. Gregg feels that having employees present at the programs is the best way to insure success. You can already see the changes taking place. This year the summer leaders are being trained to better adapt to issues that arise and more people will be hired to increase service to the programs.
The board of Senior Summer School is excited and realized that change is good. William J. Levy who is the founder and a board member said that Gregg is the addition that Senior Summer School needed. “Today we are educating the children of our original customers. Time changes and what our customers want today is completely different of what their parents wanted twenty five years ago. The focus is on education, and the children of our original customers are better educated and demand more challenging programs. In the old days we could hire a local talent and call it a class. Today our customers want PhD’s or an instructor with a life long experience. As we have said for a very long time ‘use it or lose it’, it just takes more of a challenge today!”
As the market becomes more and more crowed with imitations of Senior Summer School, and companies shave away at quality to offer a book cover verses a book, Senior Summer School still is dedicated to building on the tradition they have served their customers with for a quarter of a century – offering active retirees an escape from the heat and cool educational experience.
